Sunreavers in Wrath of the Lich King

Dalaran is a magical, neutral floating city in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Within its walls, there are groups or factions that represent their affiliation, whether Horde or Alliance. For the Horde, the faction that resides in the city is called the Sunreavers. This faction consists of blood elves that serve as the go-to people for any Horde player who wanders to the city. They give quests and rewards, and at the same time, show you the way if you need to buy goods or repair armor, for example. But this is only secondary to the faction's true and most pressing goal, that is, to guarantee that blood elves would continue to have a seat in Dalaran's powerful council of mages known as the Kirin Tor. To this effect, the faction has a tenuous relationship with the high elves faction known as the Silver Covenant who are fighting against the very goal of the blood elves, that is, the Silver Covenant aims to banish all blood elves from the Kirin Tor and maybe Dalaran as well.

In the past, the city of Dalaran can only be accessed by the members of the Alliance. In fact, most of the ruling council's members are mostly of the Alliance faction. Because of the machinations of the powerful blood elf archmage known as Aethas Sunreaver to have blood elves and other Horde members welcomed into the council, Dalaran opened its gates for the Horde. The Horde is now a familiar sight in Dalaran, to the point that they have their own area known as the Sunreaver's Sanctuary, an area which is the opposite of the Alliance's Silver Enclave, run by the armies of the Silver Covenant. Blood elves who were forever grateful for Archmage Aethas work took his name and used it to name their faction, The Sunreavers. Until this day, the faction exists to continue the job that Archmage Aethas began.

If you are an Alliance player, don't wander into the Horde's area. It will be zealously guarded by creatures under the employ of the blood elves. They are known as Sunreaver Guardian Mages, and any Alliance player who wanders into the Sunreaver's Sanctuary will definitely find themselves booted out of it either through forbidding words, teleportation, or even physical force. However, Horde players will be warmly welcomed. There, NPCs will give them quests while those who need stocks or repair will find stores to cater to them, too. The faction's most recent work has included joining the union of the Horde Expedition. Together with the Hand of Vengeance of the Forsaken, the Taunka of the Ice Taurens, and the Warsong Offensive of the Orcs, the Sunreavers form the Horde Expedition whose main goal is to bring about the destruction of the Lich King.
