As previously mentioned, we went over the detailed Demonology build now we will talk about Affliction build for Warlock. If this information interests you, the shortcut is to keep pace with us. Let us take a quick look.
First thing first, Affliction build is great for leveling as well as Raids, they can tank very well, as they are very strong at drain spells, as long as you have the proper people in party to help you with the right strategies. Curse of Agony is the first skill we go over, which deals a nice amount of damage to a single target but it is not simply useful enough for groups.
Suppression is the next skill we talk about; it raises hit chance of Affliction based spells as well as reducing mana cost of Affliction spells. This skill is alright but for Player vs. Player or raids until you get gear that gives you good enough hit. While you get the hit rate that you desire, you should not even touch this skill.
Corruption is one of the best skills for this build. It does 1080 shadow damage over 18 seconds with max rank. You could be crazy not to get this spell. As follows, Curse of weakness reduces the targets attack power by 478. A good curse, but only one Warlock in the party needs it. Only get this skill if you're raiding and your leader wants you to have it.
Drain soul causes 710 Shadow Damage over 15 seconds. It multiplies that damage by 4 if the target is at 25% health or less. If the target dies while being drained, you could get a Soul Shard, which is used for other spells. Not the best spell for PvP or raiding, as there are other better damage dealers, but very good for leveling.
Life Tap is a must for anyone that calls themselves an Affliction Warlock, which converts health into mana with the more Spirit you have and the more effective it will be. In the party you can convert your HP to mana to use killer spells over and over when you have a Priest healing you. This skill can completely turn the battle around when it seems like that you outmatched in a raid or something.
Soul Siphon is great for doing tanking with Drain, which increases the effectiveness of Drain Life, it drains the targets HP and transfers it to you. There is absolutely no reason not to get this, especially if you're a tanker. Fear is another pretty nifty skill, not the best for raiding, but good for solo leveling and great for PvPing. It causes the target to run around for in fear for up to 20 seconds however damage can cancel the affect.
Curse of Exhaustion reduces the target's movement speed. If you like PvP then this is one you'll want. Shadow Mastery increases shadow damage by 15%, that includes all shadow spells like Life Drain, an absolute must have. Eradication has a 10% chance at increasing your cast time speed by 20%, however you can only use it once every 30 seconds. It is a decent skill for PvP, average for all other areas.
Contagion is another amazing skill that is too good to pass up. Dark Pact makes quite a few skills useless, which is very nice since you can get other skills when you get this.
Howl of Terror is an ability that causes Fear in an area of effect. Improved Howl of Terror reduces the cast time of Howl of Terror, and Glyph of Howl of Terror reduces the cool-down of Howl of Terror. Howl of terror is a basic spell that causes fear in an area of effect.
As above, that is all about Affliction based Warlock. We best hope that you can know it well.
